In this step, you will review your data product’s final configurations to ensure a smooth deployment. Here’s how to complete the final step in the Crux data onboarding process and prepare for deployment.

1. Data product name and description

Verify the data product's name and description. Ensure the description accurately reflects its content and purpose. The name and description can also be modified later.

2. Connection details

Confirm the connection details to your data source. Ensure that the connection aligns with the correct data source.

3. Dataset structure

In the Datasets section, verify that all datasets are correctly organized. Each dataset will contain one or multiple tables. Ensure the dataset structure, table counts, schemas, and configurations are accurate.

4. Dataset schedule

Each dataset has a dedicated ingestion schedule and a delivery deadline. Review the ingestion schedules and deadlines for each dataset and ensure that they meet your delivery timelines and business requirements.

5. Deployment test (optional)

If applicable, confirm that your test deploy was successful.

5. Destination

Ensure the destination (or destinations) of the processed data are correctly specified. Validate that the destinations are correctly configured and ready to receive the data.

7. Review ODIN specifications

In this stage, you can review the ODIN specification, which defines the structure and configuration of each dataset in your data product. This includes the data source, selected datasets, extraction file patterns, schemas, and destinations. If there are changes to the ODIN specification that you need to make, you may do that by exporting the ODIN and managing it via cruxctl.

8. Deploy your data product

After reviewing your data product, you can deploy to production. Deploying your data product to production will enable regular deliveries to your destination(s) based on the configured schedule. When your first data delivery deadline arrives, you will then be able to see your active datasets in the Health Dashboard for monitoring.

Happy data onboarding!
