As an Editor or Admin, you can permanently remove source or destination connections that were previously created for your organization. However, before doing so, it’s important to understand the potential impact on active data products.

⚠️ Important: Deleting a connection used in any active data products within the Crux External Data Platform may cause downstream disruptions. Carefully review your decision before proceeding.

⚠️ Note: Deleting a connection is permanent and cannot be undone.

Steps to delete connections

To permanently delete an existing connection - source or destination - complete these steps:

  1. Access the Connection Settings:

    • Go to the Connection Settings table in your admin interface.

    • Find the connection you want to delete and click the ... actions icon at the end of the table row.

  2. Open the Delete Menu:

    • Select Delete from the context menu.

  3. Review the Delete Connection Modal:

    • A confirmation modal will appear, warning you about the potential impact of deleting this connection.

    • If you’re sure, click Delete Connection to proceed or Cancel to return to the previous screen.

  4. Proceed with Caution:

    • Remember, this action cannot be undone.

    • Once deleted, the connection will be permanently removed from both the Connection Settings table and the Existing Connections list in Crux Studio.

By following these steps, you can safely remove unwanted connections. However, always ensure that the connection is no longer needed in any active data products to avoid unintended disruptions.
