FTP Source Connection

Prerequisites

The File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a standard communication protocol used to transfer data from a server to a client.


Connection Fields

To create an FTP source connection, configure the following connection settings:

Field

Description

Connection name

Unique name of your connection that you can refer to in the future.

Connection type

Type of connection: FTP

Address

Host/Server IP address

Port

Port number (typically, 21)

Username

Username associated with this FTP connection.

Password

Password associated with this FTP connection.

Enable Transfer Layer Security (TLS)

Select this option when enabling TLS encryption.
